A 2010 Dodge Ram pickup truck with a trailer attached caught fire in the 32000 block of King Road at about 1 p.m. Monday.
Abbotsford Fire and Rescue Service responded, and quickly knocked out the flames, which did extensive damage to the vehicle, which was parked on private property near Clearbrook Road.
Before firefighters arrived, flames could be seen under the vehicle, along with heavy smoke.
According to a spokesperson for Abbotsford Fire and Rescue Service, the driver of the truck had stopped the vehicle between the residence and a barn and got out of the truck to open the barn door. When the driver turned around, he saw flames coming out from beneath the front of the truck.
No one was hurt in the incident.
