Abbotsford and Mission teachers will be participating in province-wide rotating strikes again next week, for the third consecutive week.
The job action will take place in Mission on Thursday, June 12 and in Abbotsford on Friday, June 13.
Neighbouring school districts Langley and Chilliwack are also both impacted on Friday.
The third week of job action takes place as B.C. teachers prepare to vote on Monday and Tuesday on a potential full-scale strike.
Abbotsford superintendent of schools Kevin Godden has previously said that although schools are "technically open" during the one-day strike, there will not be any staff "to provide the necessary supervision and instruction for students."
Buses will not be running, and preschool and Strong Start Centres will be closed.
The BCTF began job action in late April, refusing supervision outside classrooms and communication with school management.
The union has had a long-running dispute with the B.C. Public School Employers' Association over pay, staffing levels, and class size and composition.
The latest BCTF wage proposal is a total increase of 9.75 per cent over four years, plus cost-of-living adjustments in each year depending on inflation. The BCTF has estimated that with inflation, the total increase would be 12.75 per cent.
The B.C. Public School Employers' Association, representing the province's 60 school districts, has proposed a 7.5 per cent wage increase over six years, and recently added a $1,200 signing bonus for an agreement by the end of the school year.
