The Abbotsford Police Department's crime reduction unit executed a search of a Sumas Mountain home on Friday night at about 8:30 p.m., but few details have yet been released on what investigators found.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the search of the two-storey home in the 4900 block of Sumas Mountain Road was for stolen and fraudulent items. He could only confirm that a pickup truck, a trailer and a BMW were seized from the scene.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that a number of other items were also taken away by police in a cube van.

MacDonald said no one was home at the time, and investigators are trying to track down who might have been involved. They are expected to release more details later this week.

Other units were also involved in the raid, including the Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team, using their armoured vehicle, and major crime.
