Provincial NDP leader Adrian Dix was in Abbotsford Saturday afternoon to help introduce his party’s latest candidate for the 2013 provincial election.

Sukhi Dhami, a 27-year-old farmer will challenge current Liberal MLA Mike de Jong in the riding of Abbotsford West.

Dhami, was born in Chilliwack but has lived in Abbotsford for the past 15 years.

He said winning in the riding will take work.

“We are doing well in the polls, but I don’t believe in polls too much. You have to get in the community, do your due diligence and you’ve got to work with the people.”
