A pedestrian is in serious condition after being struck by a Dodge SUV in the 32400 block of Simon Ave. Wednesday.

The road is closed to traffic during an investigation by police, who say the driver of the SUV remained on scene.

The street is closed between Trethewey and Cruikshank, and police say they will update when the road is open.

The incident happened just blocks from where an elderly scooter driver was injured in a collision Wednesday morning. That incident closed South Fraser Way. Read story.
