Police were on the scene of a shooting on Monday night in the 31300 block of Marshall Road in Abbotsford.

Shots were fired last night in Abbotsford but nobody was injured.

Const. Ian MacDonald said police received multiple 911 calls at 11 p.m. from residents reporting shots fired in the 31300 block of Marshall Road in west Abbotsford.

When police arrived, they found that a vehicle had been shot at in a driveway of a home, and shell casings were on the road.

MacDonald said no individuals were hit by the bullets.

He did not have any further details at this time, including whether the residence in question is known to police or whether investigators believe the incident is connected to the ongoing Townline Hill gang conflict, which involves two groups of young men battling for drug turf on the west side of the city.
