Several rural homes broken into

Mission RCMP are looking for suspects after five residential break-ins over the past two weeks.

A rash of rural break-ins has prompted Mission RCMP to ask for the public's help.

The suspects have been kicking or prying doors open, and jewlery is the most often stolen item at each of the five homes, say police.

Local Mounties are being assisted by the Lower Mainland District Forensic Identification Section, and police have no suspects.

"No matter where you live, a good crime prevention practice is to watch out for your neighbors by recording and reporting anything suspicious to the police," said Mission RCMP's Cpl. Sharon Siluch.

Anyone with information can call 604-826-7161, or Crime Stoppers at
