Several accidents have been reported and roads closed as black ice has posed a challenge for commuters Friday morning.

The intersection of Bradner and King roads in Abbotsford has reportedly been closed, with an air ambulance called to the scene following a collision there.

Marshall Road in Abbotsford was also closed at Paramount Cres, south of Highway 1.

The accident has delayed the start of classes at King Traditional elementary school to 9 a.m.

A dump truck crashed through a telephone pole and a fence before coming to rest in the front yard of a Marshall Road home.

And Clearbrook and Huntingdon was also closed due to a crash. Both incidents resulted in downed power lines.

"It was treacherous out there for a while," Sgt. Judy Bird of the Abbotsford Police said.
