A man who had allegedly tried to shoplift some items from the Safeway store in Abbotsford this afternoon got in a scuffle with a loss prevention officer, resulting in both of them falling through a plate glass window.
The incident took place just after 2:30 p.m. at the Safeway at 32500 South Fraser Way.
Police came to the scene after receiving several 911 calls.
Abbotsford Police Const. Paul Walker said a man had apparently left the store with some unpaid groceries. A loss prevention officer tried to detain him, but the man resisted and a scuffle ensued outside the store.
Neither man was seriously injured.
