Abbotsford may be in the middle of a record dry spell. The last time there was so little rain through August and September was 1974, when there was 16.3 mm. Normal precipitation for those months is 48mm and 54mm, respectively, or 102mm in total. So far, Abbotsford has received just 11.4 mm of rain in the past two months. The Environment Canada forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud through Sunday, but there is a 30 per cent chance of showers on Friday.
