One of the main Rockin' River Music Festival artists has cancelled.

Rascal Flatts issued a notice on its website Wednesday afternoon that it had to cancel the final three planned tour stops, including in Mission on Saturday night, due to illness.

"It is incredibly difficult to make the decision to cancel shows and disappoint our loyal fans who have been so good to us over the years.

"The schedule of shows this past weekend, coupled with media days in New York City, have left [lead singer Gary LeVox] without a voice," read the statement.

Besides Rockin’ River, a show in Idaho and a show in Washington State are also cancelled.

“Of course we’re disappointed, but we wish Gary a speedy recovery,” Rockin’ River president Kenny Hess said. “We are very close to closing a deal on suitable replace acts.”

Hess said that while the cancellation is unfortunate, he is still looking forward to hosting a great festival and party.

“Rockin’ River will still have a fantastic lineup at Mission Raceway Park this week,” Hess said. “We’re looking make an exciting announcement shortly.”

Other featured acts include Terri Clark, Gord Bamford, the Road Hammers, Hey Romeo, Julian Austin and more.
