A mini van driver crashed into a utility pole while reaching for a sandwich, police say.
The crash partially closed traffic at the intersection of Ware Road and Bevan Avenue Wednesday afternoon and temporarily knocked out power for 4,160 BC Hydro customers in the area.

Police say the driver was uninjured but was given a ticket for driving without due care.
Abbotsford Senior Secondary was let out early for the day, as its backup generator didn’t come on. Abby Middle’s generator did work and classes remained in session, according to district spokesperson, Kayla Stuckart.
