Police trying to ID suspect in Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford bank robberies

SURREY — Police are looking for help to identify a suspect in a series of bank robberies that were committed this month in Surrey, Langley and Abbotsford.

The Surrey robbery happened on March 3rd and the Langley and Abbotsford robberies happened on March 17th. In each case, the robber produced a note and made off with cash.

"Thankfully no violence was used during any of the incidents," Surrey RCMP Sergeant Alanna Dunlop said.

The suspect is described as possibly South Asian or Filipino, in his 30s, five feet eight inches tall, medium built, had a dark beard and moustache and wore a black toque, sunglasses, black gloves, a black jacket and black pants.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or Abbotsford Police at 604-589-5225.
