Police seek suspect in sexual assault at Abbotsford store

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) t is trying to locate a suspect in a sexual assault that took place Monday, March 14.

On that day, just before 9 p.m., a man entered a store in the 32500 block of South Fraser Way and started a conversation with the lone female employee.

Sgt. Judy Bird said the man followed the woman to the back of the store, where he grabbed her and tried to kiss her. She was able to push back, and told the suspect to get out.

The man left the store, and the employee then called police.

The suspect is described as South Asian, in his 20s, about 6’ 1” with a thin build. He has dark hair, a beard and acne.

The man was wearing a black Puma track suit and black Adidas shoes.
