Police remind drivers to use four-way stop procedures

Numerous motorists were observed flying through an Abbotsford intersection where traffic lights were temporarily out.

The Abbotsford Police Department is reminding drivers to be mindful of four-way stop procedures when approaching traffic lights that are not working.

Const. Ian MacDonald said several drivers were ticketed on Monday when they sped through the intersection of Highway 11 and Harris Road. Lights were out in that area from about 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We had people flying at a 100 k right through the intersection ... including semi-trailers," he said.
