Dean Andrew Douglas Sykes is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

The hunt for a man sought on a Canada-wide warrant turned up what police believe to be a chop shop operation on a rural Abbotsford property.

Abbotsford Police say they visited a property in the 27600 block of Downes Road Sunday to revoke the parole of Dean Andrew Douglas Sykes, who was wanted on warrants from Vancouver and Langley.

Officers didn't find Sykes, but they did discover several vehicles, many of them either gutted or dismantled. They included a white Ford pickup truck from Surrey, a black Ford F-350 from Langley, and a red Ford F-250 from Abbotsford. A trailer stolen from Delta and a Bobcat with a punched ignition were also seized, along with other suspected stolen property.

Police estimate that more than $100,000 in stolen property was seized.

Sykes, though, remains at large. He is described as white, balding, 6'1" and 210 pounds, with brown eyes.

Anyone with information, is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225, text 222973 (abbypd), or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
