PHOTOS: Spectacular ice formations on Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford

Ice falls photographed during Fraser Valley deep freeze

The ongoing melt means that photos and memories will soon be all that remains of spectacular ice fall formations on Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford.

Ted VanAsseldonk and other hikers captured the images below during a hike this weekend on the southwestern reaches of the mountain.

The ice formations were created in the Rock Bluffs area, which can be accessed through the Upper Ambidextrous trail.

Van Asseldonk and others also photographed a frozen and majestical Devon Falls.
