Water poll indicates residents divided on P3 issue

Sixty-two per cent of Abbotsford residents agree with the plan to create a public-private partnership to build a new water supply and treatment centre at Stave Lake, but only 45-47 per cent indicated they are ready to vote for it. That's according to the findings of an Angus Reid public opinion poll performed for the City of Abbotsford.

Abbotsford launches information campaign for P3 water project at Stave Lake

The city has launched a $200,000 information campaign on the Stave Lake Water project, set to go to referendum on Nov. 19.

Calling it an awareness campaign, the city has hired the consulting firm, The Pace Group, as well as several part-time staff to help spread the message regarding the city's current water situation.
