Operation Red Nose in service for New Year’s Eve

Program provides safe ride home for party-goers

  • Dec. 28, 2018 9:00 a.m.

Operation Red Nose (ORN) offers its last night of service for the season on Dec. 31, providing a safe ride home for New Year’s Eve revelers.

Individuals in Abbotsford-Mission can contact ORN at 604-864-4814 between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. that evening, and a team of three volunteers will get them home safely.

One volunteer drives the caller’s vehicle, a second volunteer navigates and the third follows in an escort car to pick up the two volunteers once they drop off the individual(s).

The service is free, but donations are accepted.

Users can also use the free mobile app – available on Google Play and the App Store – to contact the closest headquarters.
