There’s still no relief in the immediate forecast from the smoke that has blanketed the Lower Mainland for days now.

A special air quality statement continues for the Fraser Valley, and the air quality health index was at 7, indicating a high health risk, as of 6 a.m. Friday morning. See current readings for the Fraser Valley and the rest of B.C. here.

Environment Canada has said the smoke will remain until there is a shift in the weather. Environment Canada also says the weather won’t be changing anytime soon, with warm temperatures in the low-30s expected for the next seven days.
