Two puppies and an adult dog were stolen from an Abbotsford home on Wednesday night.

Two puppies and an adult dog were stolen during a break-in at an Abbotsford home Wednesday night, after the owner had advertised the puppies for sale on an online site.

Const. Ian MacDonald said Abbotsford Police were notified about the break-in at 7:20 p.m. It took place in the 33300 block for Westbury Avenue when the owner left the residence for a brief time.

Nothing else was missing from the home except for the adult Yorkie and the two "Morkies" – a cross between a Yorkie and a Maltese.

MacDonald said the owner had received several phone calls from people purporting to be interested in viewing or buying the dogs, and he had given out his address.

He had advertised the puppies for $750 each.

Anyone with information about the break-in or the whereabouts of the dogs is asked to call the Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
