Three alleged drug dealers in Mission had a very bad day last month.

On Aug. 16, the Mission RCMP Street Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located near the 32000 block of Third Avenue, where it was believed that illegal drug trafficking was taking place.

Three people were arrested in relation to several offences including, Drug Trafficking, Possession of Stolen Property, Unlawful Possession of Credit Card Data and Identification Documents as well as several firearm-related offences.

Multiple ounces of illegal substances including heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine were seized – valued at approximately $10,000 – along with nine firearms and approximately $2,000 in cash.

The investigation is ongoing and formal charges are forthcoming.

“It’s cases like these that disrupt the trafficking of illegal substances coming into our town. It sends a clear message to criminals that Mission is not a friendly place to set up shop,” said Insp. Steve Corp.

Mission residents are urged to report suspicious activity to the local RCMP office at 604-826-7161 as it provides important information for investigations.
