Mission firefighters battled a mobile-home fire in the Triple Creek Estates trailer park this morning (Nov. 13).

The fire was initially reported at approximately 9:15 a.m. on the 10200 block of Wilson Street beside Hayward Lake. Emergency scanners reported flames shooting out of the windows, but that the mobile unit did not appear to be occupied.

The entrance to the trailer park was blocked off by emergency crews as they fought to extinguish the fire.

By the time The Record arrived on scene at 9:40 a.m., the fire had mostly been contained, with the exception of white smoke still rising from the building. The fire did not appear to have spread to nearby mobile homes.
