Mission child falls from second-storey window: neighbours

An air ambulance was called in to transport the victim

A four-year-old girl fell from a second storey window over the weekend, but is expected to be fine.

The toddler was chasing a fly, and when she went to swat it, fell through the window screen, said Mission RCMP Cpl. Mike Sukkau.

The girl was taken to hospital with a broken leg, broken teeth and cuts and bruises.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at a house on Peacock Street.

Local police, paramedics and firefighters were at the scene and an air ambulance was brought in to transport the victim to hospital.
