The Abbotsford Police Department has been contacted by a woman who was reported missing by a family member on Sept. 27.

Const. Ian MacDonald said Kerry-Lynn Osbourne, 40, contacted police on Wednesday night. She indicated that her family had been travelling  in the period she was reported missing and is now living in another B.C. community.

MacDonald said police in that community met with Osbourne and confirmed that she and her children are all in good health.

Police issued a request earlier this week to have Osbourne contact them to confirm her whereabouts.

A family member became concerned when regular contact with Osbourne had not occurred for over a month.

Osbourne had not engaged in any social media activity since late September, and no phone or email contact attempts had been successful.

Police went to her last known address on Blauson Boulevard in Abbotsford and found the residence vacant.

None of her school-aged children had been enrolled in the Abbotsford school district this year.

Osbourne had last been seen in Abbotsford at a government office on Oct. 1.
