A passerby spotted a man walking along South Fraser way holding a bloody rag to his head on Tuesday just before 9 a.m.
Police were called, and the man was located in the 33400 block of South Fraser Way, suffering from a stab wound.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injury, which he apparently sustained in an altercation with another person.
Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the 24-year-old has had previous interactions with police.
The incident is under investigation.
