Man arrested twice for break-ins at new Abbotsford courthouse after he goes back for dropped cigarettes

Courthouse is under construction and within sight of the police department

One Abbotsford thief should really consider quitting smoking after getting burned by police two days in a row.

The man was arrested on Sept. 4 when a police K9 was able to sniff him out during a break-in at the construction site for the new courthouse.

After being released from jail, he was arrested in the early hours of Sept. 5 in an apparent rescue operation of cigarettes he dropped in the first arrest.

The courthouse is in the same civic complex as, and within sight of, the Abbotsford police department.
