Shortly after 3 pm Monday Abbotsford Fire Rescue were alerted to a kitchen fire on Ketch Place. Upon arrival light smoke could be seen coming from the windows. Quick action by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading. As of 4 p.m. the crews were still checking for extensions into the attic space. No injuries were reported in the incident.
