An injured hiker was rescued from Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford on Sunday evening.
The woman in her 50s had been hiking with her daughter on a trail off Carlyle Drive at the top of the mountain when she broke her ankle at about 6:15 p.m.
The pair used a cellphone to call rescue crews, and the daughter met them on the road to escort them about 1.5 km to her mother's location.
The rescue took about three hours.
