A public information open house for the Matsqui slough bridge replacement on Riverside Street takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Dasmesh Punjabi School gymnasium, 5930 Riverside Street, Abbotsford.
The bridge replacement is planned to start in June. The project involves replacement of the existing deteriorated timber bridge with a new steel and concrete structure.
There will be periodic lane closures at the site in June and July while preparatory work is undertaken. Riverside Street will be fully closed at the immediate bridge location from approximately mid-July to mid-August.
