On Saturday at 11 p.m, a 25-year-old man opened the door to his apartment in the 3100 block of Gladwin Road.

Three suspects brandishing firearms pushed their way in and demanded that the victim turn over cash and guns from a safe inside the suite. The man complied and then jumped from the second-storey balcony in order to escape. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the fall and the assault by the suspects.

Abbotsford Police officers had suspect and vehicle descriptions provided by several witnesses.

Major crime unit detectives and forensic identification officers joined the investigation that extended into Chilliwack. Two suspects were arrested in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 21.  A 28-year-old man from Coquitlam and a 31-year-old man from Chilliwack were taken into custody by the APD and Chilliwack RCMP respectively.  Investigators will be recommending charges of robbery and break and enter against both men.
