A 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser was damaged Wednesday morning and its driver injured in a hit-and-run accident on Whatcom Road near Westview Boulevard at about 8:15 a.m.
The vehicle that left the scene was a 2007 Toyota Cruiser. The female driver was located by patrol officers about 30 minutes later, according to Const. Ian MacDonald.
The driver of the car remaining at the scene was taken to an ambulance and transported to hospital. Early indications were that the injuries were not life-threatening.
According to witnesses, the vehicle rolled onto the driver's side and came to rest in the middle of the road. It was righted by Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service crews. Abbotsford Police were also on the scene.
