It has been challenging for anyone across the flood-impacted Fraser Valley to stay on top of provincial highway closures in and around the flood zone because they’re constantly in flux.

The provincial Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) has created a web page, updated several times a day focused on current road advisories and highway impacts across B.C. from recent flooding and slides.

Road repairs, slide and flood debris cleanups take time, and with more water on the way, things could change.

“We are actively responding, monitoring and assessing the many highway closures, and will continue to do so as we work with local and emergency service partners,” said the MOTI notice on the new TranBC page.

Motorists can check DriveBC, as it is still the most current source of highway conditions, according to MOTI.
