Dizzy Grant, point guard for the Harlem Globetrotters, visited Abbotsford Regional Hospital on Monday afternoon to brighten up the day for patients on the pediatric ward.

It was part of the Globetrotters' "Smile Patrol," which visits more than 200 hospitals each year.

"We're all about putting smiles on people's faces … Five minutes out of their day puts a smile on their face that they won't forget," Grant said of the young patients.

The Harlem Globetrotters bring their basketball wizardry to the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre (AESC) on Feb. 15 as part of their 2013 "You Write the Rules" world tour.

Visit abbotsfordcentre.ca for tickets and more information. Tickets are also available at the AESC box office, Abbotsford and Matsqui recreation centres, Whatcom Wine and Spirits, or by calling 1-866-977-2372.
