One of two men charged with the second-degree murder of Harvey Hans in 2008 has pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Shavinder “Shevy” Brar, 24, will be sentenced in Chilliwack Supreme Court on July 4. Co-accused Amrit Gill, 23, is set to go to trial on the second-degree murder charge starting June 20.

Hans, 18, was fatally stabbed in the neck on May 24, 2008, following a fight between a group of men in front of his family’s home on Ridgeview Drive.
