A collision in Abbotsford on Friday afternoon had traffic backed up in both directions on Highway 1.
The crash occurred at about noon in the eastbound lanes, just west of the Highway 11 exit.
Eastbound traffic was stopped for period before opening up to one lane at about 1 p.m. Both lanes were fully open by 1:30. Westbound traffic had also slowed.
No further details were available, including the number of vehicles involved or whether there were any injuries. Initial reports indicate that a truck and a car were involved, but that has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
No air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, despite reports on social media that one had landed on the freeway.
