Fraser Health has halted all activities at Northview Community Church in Abbotsford for two weeks due to suspected COVID exposures, according to a church social media post.

Starting Nov. 3, all in-person weekend services, midweek ministries, bible studies and youth events will stop. Some midweek ministries will be moved online, and the online weekend services will still be available Saturdays after 5 p.m.

“Naturally, we are saddened by all of this. We long to be together. And yet, we know that God is still at work - even when we’re scattered,” says the post.

“We encourage you to take some extra time for personal prayer during this time. Pray for those in our community battling the effects of COVID. Pray for those struggling with the additional hardships brought on by this pandemic for which there are many.”

The church encourages anyone who is struggling to reach out to their pastors through email: care@nothview.org.

The ministry leaders will provide updates when they become available.
