A four-year-old girl escaped serious injury in a car accident Sunday night in Abbotsford because she was strapped into an approved car seat, according to police and fire officials.
The girl and her mom were heading west near Clearbrook Road on Highway One at about 7:30 p.m., when the car left the road and hit a tree.
Both the driver and the child were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
