FortisBC is holding an emergency training exercise at its facility on Whatcom Road in Abbotsford from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today (Thursday).
Spokesperson Grace Pickell said the exercise is being conducted for safety purposes and to test emergency response procedures and coordination with local emergency responders.
"This should not be mistaken for a real event. However, there will be utility trucks and emergency vehicles going to and from the site," Pickell said.
She said no impact to the community is anticipated.
