Food donations collected in Abbotsford for victims of wildfires

Bhangra Beat Academy holds drop-off event Sunday and Monday

Bhangra Beat Academy in Abbotsford is holding an event tomorrow and Monday to collect food for victims of the wildfires in the Cariboo and Interior regions of B.C.

The public is invited to drop off non-perishable food and beverage items – such as granola bars, bottled water and Gatorade – on Sunday, July 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday, July 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The location is 2464 Clearbook Rd. in the parking lot at the back of the complex.

All donated items will be donated to the Salvation Army for transport to Prince George and other cities that are hosting evacuees.

Anyone who is unable to drop off items during those days and times is invited to email harmanlally96@hotmail.com to arrange pickup.
