Fire destroys camper on Abbotsford mink farm

A man was sleeping in a camper on a rural Abbotsford property when it caught on fire Tuesday night.

A fellow worker on the mink farm awakened the man, who escaped without injury.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service was called just before 11 p.m. to the farm in the area of Bradner and Townshipline roads.

When crews arrived, the camper fully engulfed in flames and was spreading to a nearby shed, but they quickly extinguished it.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
