Crews from Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service were called to a house fire on Wednesday afternoon at the corner of Bevan Avenue and Primrose Street.
The call came in at about 3:45 p.m. at a small older house on the southeast corner and was apparently reported by a passerby.
Heavy smoke and some flames could be seen coming from the home, and the roof was heavily damaged.
Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames.
It doesn’t appear that anyone was in the home at the time. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
