Fire crews snuff out small brush fire in centre of Abbotsford

Cigarette may be to blame for blaze sparked near West Railway Street and South Fraser Way

Abbotsford fire crews quickly stamped out a brush fire just off South Fraser Way Friday afternoon.

The blaze was reported around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Riverside Road and West Railway Street. The cause is unknown, but may be a carelessly discarded cigarette butt.
