Evacuation order issued for O’Byrne Road in Chilliwack River Valley

The Fraser Valley Regional District says residents of trailers near Chilliwack River are in danger

The Fraser Vally Regional District (FVRD) has issued an evacuation order for trailers located at 50801 O’Byrne Road in the Chilliwack River Valley.

The FVRD says the order is “due to immediate danger to life safety and health because of the atmospheric river event and heavy rainfall causing overland flooding and mudslides.”

The order lists Slesse Park as an ‘affected area.’

FVRD says further information will be issued as it becomes available.
