An apparent medical incident resulted in an out-of-control vehicle hitting several cars in the Walmart parking lot on Vedder Way this morning in Abbotsford.
The incident took place at about 11:30 a.m., when an elderly driver who was suffering an apparent medical episode lost control of his vehicle, sending it careening into eight parked cars.
A witness at the scene said pedestrians were forced to jump out of the way, but nobody was hurt.
The vehicle apparently came to a stop after the driver's wife was able to take the keys out of the ignition.
The driver was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, but was otherwise OK.
