Friends and family of those affected in Fort McMurray will continue to collect donations to be shipped to the Northern Alberta to assist evacuees. Collection of items is taking place in the parking lot next to Finnegan's Pub at 33780 King Road from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m,.
Items that are needed include sweatpants, t-shirts, pajamas, bathrobes, socks, underwear (clothing must be new). Also needed is bottled water, new toys, pet food. The event is being supported by Casey Transport (who is donating the 53' trailer to haul the goods and by the Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service.
