Abbotsford firefighters were able to quickly contain diesel leaking from a dump truck after it collided with a car Wednesday morning.

The incident happened shortly before noon at the corner of Marshall Road and Townline Hill Road, according to assistant fire chief Jeff Sneider.

The two occupants in the red hatchback sedan were not seriously hurt, he said.

The car punctured the truck’s fuel tank, which spilled some diesel, but Sneider said it was cleaned up before it did any damage to the surrounding environment.
