Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a cat burglar who struck an Abbotsford home in May.

The suspect broke into a home in the 35200 block of Christina Place on May 15 at about 1:45 p.m.

A 13-year-old boy was playing on an electronic device when the culprit broke in.

The suspect rummaged through the home and took valuables before coming across the boy, whom he briefly locked in the bathroom.

The man then forced the boy to accompany him through the house in a search for more valuables before locking the teen back in the bathroom.

The thief left with several electronics from the home.

He is described as Caucasian, in his 20s, clean-shaven, 5’ 8” and with a medium build and short dark-brown hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans.

Investigators have attempted to identify the suspect and released a composite sketch and press release in early August, but the man has still not been identified.

Anyone with information is asked to call Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
