Firefighters extinguished a large brush fire in the Lefeuvre Road Thursday afternoon.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue crews extinguished a large grass fire in southwest Abbotsford Thursday afternoon.

The fire, which was reported around 3:30 p.m. and is located in the area of Lefeuvre Road and Montesina Avenue south of Aldergrove, was reported to have grown to cover an area several acres in size. However, once crews arrived on the scene, they were quickly able to quell the blaze.
