The driver of a Ford Mustang sustained non-life-threatening injuries when her vehicle collided with a dump truck today (Saturday) in Abbotsford.
The crash took place at about 11 a.m. at the intersection of Lefeuvre and Huntingdon roads.
Abbotsford Police Const. Paul Walker said the dump truck was travelling west when the southbound Mustang apparently ran the stop sign and was hit on the driver's side of the vehicle.
That intersection has stop signs for north-south traffic only.
Const. Paul Walker said the driver of the Mustang was transported to hospital by ground ambulance.
He said she was lucky to not have been more seriously injured.
"(The) intersection here we see a lot of collisions at, unfortunately. Usually, the outcomes are not as positive as this one."
On Sept. 10, an 84-year-old man died in hospital following a crash at the same intersection. He was driving a Toyota Corolla south on Lefeuvre when he collided with an eastbound dump truck.
